…Not really, of course. It’s a ski joke… Downhill… Get it?
Gibson have collaborated with, ski manufacturer, Marker Völkl to produce a couple of ski-culture (my words) guitars. Some new skis from Völkl were inspiration for the Black Les Paul Custom below and the V above is inspired by Marker’s Rule The Mountain slogan.
The guitars will be built at the Custom Shop in Nashville and will be on display through the winter before being auctioned at the SIA Show in January. The proceeds from the Les Paul will go to Protect …

Ok, the Reverse V has always looked a bit weird to me but who wouldn’t want the chance to actually own one?
Gibson and The Gay Blades are giving one away. A snazzy white one just like the one pictured here. All you need to do is go to The Gay Blades site and follow the easy instructions which, basically, just require you to send them an email answering ‘who is your favourite guitar player?’ I’m relatively sure that it’s not a trick question where all answers referring to non-Gay Blades …
