7 Calendars For Guitar Geeks

7 December 2009 Leave a comment

It’s getting towards that time of year again.  Out with the old, in with the new and all that.  And, as a discerning, guitar-geek, you need something to record important dates – gigs, rehearsals, Yngwie Malsteem’s birthday, that sort of thing.

You could make do with that calendar that your significant-other has bought – the one full of pictures of weird, fluffy kittens looking terrified because a photographer has glued them into a boot for the purposes of a shot that makes a certain person say ‘awwwww’ but makes most people wince as the cutsieness rubs itself all over their inner cynic shedding fluffy cat-hairs on their best cynical trousers.

You could make do with that but why should you?  Instead, why not get yourself an axe-tastic calendar that celebrates the instruments we all love?  Well, why not?

You’re right.  No reason at all.

So then, we’ve had a poke around Amazon and found a few good guitar calendars for you.  We’ve discounted the crazy ones that cost fifty bucks and are sold by some mental-case from his basement in Nutsville.  What remains are calendars with beautiful images and some great info that all fall into the $10-$15 range.

If you like the look of one, clicking it will magic you off to Amazon where you can give them money to mail one to you.  Isn’t the internet wonderful?

These calendars above are all wall calendars and all have some beautiful images of some beautiful guitars. If you’re a bit more tied for space however, or maybe want a calendar for your desk in work, you could get a Dilbert, cartoon-a-day, calendar which has almost nothing to do with guitars (although he does have a funny tie – ha, look at it), or you could get the Electric Guitar Classics desktop calendar (below) which has a different guitar for every, single day of the year.  365 guitars. Oh, yeah.

Go on.  Get your guitar-geek on.
