Paul Reed Smith Keeping Busy – Now It’s Cables

15 October 2009 Leave a comment

prscableNot content with more guitars than he can eat and a shed-load of new amps (more later, perhaps), Paul Reed Smith is now offering cables.

The PRS ‘Signature’ Series cables are manufactured to Reed Smith’s specifications by Van Damme (UK-based maker of top cables).

The PRS Cables range includes microphone, speaker and, of course, instrument cables.

Let’s face it, cable specs are not the most interesting things in the world.  Suffice it to say that these cables are very well shielded, ultra-low capacitance, and are fitted with proper, gold-plated NEUTRIK connectors.

They come with a lifetime warranty, the details of which you will have long forgotten before it wears out or breaks (which, to be fair, should be quite a bit in the future).

PRS says they ‘sound great… are noise-free and reliable’.  He goes on to say he uses them every day and that they are also tangle-free.

He clearly hasn’t seen the work of the bad cable-elves that live in my cable bag.
